Courage.

Could we just find some "cool" invention to keep people we love to always stay close with us, like there would not be things changed or no feelings would fade away? Would it be awesome or maybe just become one of the most selfish invention that ever be created? People come and people go, the ugliest part of it is “what if” we love that person so much ‘till we cannot accept the truth that they need to leave us behind, to live our life in different path, to do things alone when we are supposed to do it with them? Are we strong enough to let it go?

As we are getting more mature, we might find it a little bit easier to let go, to allow people we love to grow in another area they preferred, to live their life without us taking so much contribution in it as it used to be, to be with someone they love, to be with anyone except “us”. Why? Because we love them more than we love ourselves and we found out that life once we shared together and memories we had are far more valuable than our ego.
Well, how ‘bout if we put ourselves as the people who need to leave the person we love? Is it as hard as being the one who let go? Do you have any reasons to give?

The immature part of me would love if there’s whatsoever cool invention created to keep things and feelings unchanged, always stay as like it used to be: no matter where they go, who they talk with every day, things will remain the same. But, my “don’t know how mature” part of me believe that life goes on, people need to go out from their comfort zones to reach their own real dreams; those comfort zones could be: too-often-time talking non-sense, overloaded jokes in a day, too-much money spent to chill out, too-many playing around…..with us.

Sometimes, people need a break to think, to find that missing pieces in their heart, to do what they should’ve been doing for long time ago. As a person that love and be loved by them, least that we can give to them are time, support, encouragement, and “it’s okay, you are doing your best and you got my back, anytime” to show them that you aren’t being selfish, to prove them that you care and treasure the relationship.

So, here are my little encouragement to all of us: do not be afraid of losing someone important in your life, cause you will not really lose them if they mean the world to you; when you feel they are changing, they do not really change but they just grew up without doing the same things that they’ve been doing all this time with you; do not let all negative thoughts control your mind and destroy all the good memories with that person, whom you love so much.

Trust me, you are strong enough to accept the truth, truth to walk in different path to be a better them and you. Lastly, you won’t ask for that cool invention to be created cause you, yourself are more powerful than that. :)

  1. Yes, I am completely agree with you. Although maybe it would be very difficult to have that kind of courage, to just let someone important left us. I am sure that it takes a long journey of process. People come and people go, this is something that I believe as well. Everything has been planned by God, he always puts us in the right place in the right time with the right people. We are powerful because God created us perfectly.

    Thanks for sharing mel
